As a teenager, I woke up one morning to discover that all our family photographs had gone up in smoke—not even by accident...
Born in Montpellier, France, in the last century, I received my initial training in photography, specifically in analog photography, at the École des Beaux-Arts in Calais. I am now based in Brussels, where I capture the vibrations of life’s moments through my lens.
In photography, as in all fields, my tastes are eclectic, reflecting a highly international journey (France, Belgium, Mayotte, England, Canada, India, the United States) that I like to describe as very “horizontal”: a lover of Shakespeare and a teacher, a guitarist and composer, a lawyer and, deep down, a yogi, trained at the Yoga Institute in Bombay.
My preference leans towards black and white photography and the spirit of analog processes, leaving the door wide open to wherever my intuition and heart may lead me. I also work on specific projects: currently FOOD FACES, ABSENCE, SALLE A112, as well as QUELQU'UN DOIT FAIRE QUELQUE CHOSE.
My work has been exhibited in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, and Hungary, and has received several awards.
The photographers who inspire me—discovered only recently, as I am not naturally inclined to fandom—include Vivian Maier for the purity of her artistic approach, and Raymond Depardon, Jean-Dominique Burton, and Saul Leiter for everything else. Dolorès Marat moves me deeply...
I wish you an enjoyable visit and look forward to receiving your comments, remarks, collaboration proposals, or simply a greeting message.
